He was predeceased by: his father James Edward Hughes; and his brothers, Willard Edwin Hughes and Bart McKay Hughes. He is survived by: his mother Martha Lee Harris Maxwell; his children, Briana Kirris (Alex) of Lewisburg and Michael Hughes of Lawrenceburg; and his sisters, Renay Fernandez (Jose) of Lawrenceburg and Deonna Hughes of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
