He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Jean Welch; his parents, Roy E. Welch and Lela Welch (Moore); and his sisters, Mary Nell Bowden (Welch), Wilma Jean Bowden (Welch) and Sylvia Sue Brown (Welch).
He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Hillin (Welch); his granddaughters, Amanda Rachford (Buford) and Julie Hillin (Beau Herring); his great grandchildren, Jacquline Pusser, RJ Rachford and Noah Rachford; and his sisters, Dorothy Ellis (Welch) and Barbara Gail Busby (Welch). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
