He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Black and Annie Mae Kenham Black; and his daughter Frankie Renee Weatherly. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lea Black of Lawrenceburg, TN; and his sons, Derek Black (Tammy) of Chandler, TX, James Trimble (Tammy) of Lebanon, OH and Forest Black (Allison) of Lawrenceburg, TN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
