She was predeceased by: her parents, Oron Christopher and Virgie Hyatt Hood; her husband Lloyd Earl Carroll, Sr.; her sons, Lloyd Earl Carroll, Jr. and Charles Christopher Carroll; and her sister Virginia Hood Childress.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Gay Carvell (Kent), Sharon Remke (Tom), Anne Carroll and Dan Carroll (Vicki) of Lawrenceburg, TN; her grandchildren, Alex Carvell, Rachel Carvell, Austin Remke, Paige Carroll Johnson (Eric), Carroll Marie Remke Blackwood (Orry), Amanda Remke and Leeanna Carroll; and her great grandchildren, Etta Rose Blackwood and Jack Carroll Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Lawrence County Public Library, Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church, or the American Diabetes Association.
