She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard and Sylvia Myrtle Bates Hanback; her husband James Alvin Gilchrist; and her siblings, Idell Robbins, Arnell Roberson and Edsel Hanback.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Smith (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Chris Gilchrist (Deanne) of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Alison Huckaba (Wes), Chelsea Roberson (Nic) and Hayley Newton (Robert); and her great grandchildren, Jayvin Huckaba, Judson Huckaba, Cooper Newton, Scarlett Roberson and Maddux Newton.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
