She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Charley and Minnie Estelle Smith Staggs; and her brother Delburn "Bay" Staggs. She is survived by: her husband Hood of Lawrenceburg, TN; and her siblings, Marshall Hulon Staggs of Muncie, IN and Johnette Neal of Muncie, IN.

Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
