He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Henderson Williams and Sylvia Smelcer Perryman; and his wife Carla Bedford Williams. He is survived by: his children, April Shaffer (Chris) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Solomon Williams (Lori) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Ashley Williams of Columbia, TN; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Shaffer of Lawrenceburg, TN, Sam Williams of Lawrenceburg, TN, Clark Williams of Lawrenceburg, TN and Corin Williams of Lawrenceburg, TN; and his brother Rex Williams (Charlotte) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
