She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Crutcher and Clyta Lavergne Callis Gardner. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Crips Sr.; her children, Paul Crips (Josephine) and Crystal Faith Graham (Ron); her stepson Thomas Crips, Jr.; her grandchildren, Paul Crips, Jr. (Allison), Elizabeth Marie Quick (Matthew), Gabriel Crips, Sophia Crips, Kala White (Dewey), Ashton Crips, Tyler Crips (Miranda), Courtney Jones, Taylor Harmon, Eric Williams and Nathan Graham (Sarah); and her siblings, Linda Clark and David Gardner. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

She had a passion for quilting and was a part of the "Linus Ministry" that makes and donates quilts to the Monroe Carol children's hospital. Memorials may be made to the Linus Ministry at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro.
