He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Tyler; his children, William LeVaughn Layne and Tonya Asher (Bryon); his grandchildren, Bryon David Asher (Whitney), Dillon Asher, Justin Layne, Christopher Layne and Jasmine Layne; his stepchildren, Tobey D. Busby and Chris Busby (Lori Anna Marie); and his siblings, Bill Layne (Debbie), Jean Bekue (Dale) and Pamela Johnson. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
