He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Gibson and Martha Lively Gibson. He is survived by: his sisters, Janice West, Sheila Gibson, Noami Hunter, Christine Gibson, Loretta Dollar, Margaret Messmore, Carolyn Patton and Joan Payne; and his close friends, Clifton Hines, Jessica Phillips, Glenda Morgan and Mackinsey Phillips. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
