She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alfred and Grace Coker Ray; her husband Cordell "Eddie" Edwards; and her siblings, Winfred, Estel, Don Ray, Barbara Lou Ray, Jean Bolinger, Eula Butler and Kathleen Carter.
She is survived by: her sister Polly Parks of Oak Ridge; her sister-in-law Helen Ray of Harriman; her nieces, Kim Lawson (Bruce) and Kristin McPherson (Gary); her children, Jacob, Lilly McPherson, Sydney, Audrey and Tom Carter; her grandchildren, Alexander and Isabel; her siblings-in-law, Browder Edwards, Mary Edwards Lambert of Huntsville, Nina Edwards Bennet of McMinnville and Lois Edwards Smith of Springfield, Tennessee.; and her close friends, Lester, Mickey Fox, Ann Swisher, Sara Knight, Bob Martin, Jack Taylor, Pat, Sid Albright, Diane Hawn, Dianne and Korky MacKenzie. She is also survived by her husband had no children, but she was a mother figure to many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
