With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mildred Ruth Reed of Lake City, Tennessee, whose life came to an end on December 25, 2024 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Smith Sr. and Claude E. Wilson Smith; her siblings, Margaret "Boots" Tucker and Vernie Smith Jr.; her husband Bruce Reed; and her grandson Chris Reed.
She is survived by: her son Edward Reed (Tammy); her sister-in-law Maxine Smith; her siblings, Tom Smith (Pat) and Anna Lou Ayers of Knoxville; her grandchildren, Tyler, Ashleigh and Leslie Reed; and her great grandchild Hendrick. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Hatmaker Funeral Home (503 S Main St, Rocky Top, TN 37769).
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mildred's grandson, Chris Reed, she requests donations be made to the Cancer Support Community of East Tennessee at 6204 Baum Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919.
