He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall and Cora Haynes Johnson Sr.; his daughter Melissa Buchanan; his grandson Michael Johnson; and his siblings, Marshall Jr., Raymond, Donald Johnson, Glenda Cole and Edna Chapman.
He is survived by: his wife Loriann Butler-Johnson; his children, Wayne, Sherry Heide, Kendall (Max Foerster), Kyla (Richie Dabney) and Kelsey Johnson; his grandchildren, Kaylie Johnson, Conner, Gracelynn Dabney and Braden Johnson; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Johnson and Penellopi Giles; and his siblings, Arnold Johnson and Maydell Bradford Peggy Ogle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
