He was predeceased by: his parents, Conda McCoy and Gussie McCoy (Foust); his wife Lillie Ruth McCoy (Lowe); his son Edward McCoy; and his siblings, Wayne Abner, James McCoy, Lawrence McCoy, Vaughn McCoy and Kathleen Johnson (McCoy).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brandy Williams and Mitchell Holt; his daughters, Janet Saunders (McCoy) and Karen Shubert (George); and his grandchildren, Kent (KC), Nellie, Ben, Jr. (BJ), Balie (Coty), Patricia (Jimmy), David (Terree), Brycen, Graycen, Zara, Kaisen and Aleena. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren.
