He was predeceased by: his parents, Rob Ayers and Lizzy Ayers (McCullah); and his siblings, Rev. George Andrew Ayers, Marie "Reecie" Ridenour, Essie and Mary Lou Ayers.
He is survived by: his wife June Ayers (Bolton); his children, Tammy Asbury (Kyle) and Bryant Ayers; his grandchildren, Stephanie Moncrief (Drew), Zachary Asbury (Danielle), Chris Asbury and Isaac Walter Asbury; his great grandchildren, Cannon, Nora and Jaxson; his siblings, Charles Ayers (Linda), Eddie Ayers (Jessie), Dessie Smiddy, Ann Colvin (Bob), Ester Caldwell (Wayne) and Leona Brinker; and also Travis Phoenix. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walters Funeral Home - LaFollette (509 E Central Ave, LaFollette, TN 37766). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Stanfield Church of God (153 Old Stinking Creek Rd, LaFollette, TN 37766).
