It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Landa Burton (Lafollette, Tennessee), who passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riley Burton (Jack Burton) and Chloe Burton (Rutherford); his wife Patsy Burton; his siblings, Rev. Glenn Burton, Douglas Burton, John Burton (JR), Arthur Leon Burton, Gladys Henderson, Ruby McGhee, Carlie Mae Miller and Novaleen Burton; his grandson Charles Brandon McCreary; and his great grandchild Valentina McCreary.

He is survived by: his children, Rita Faye Wilhoit (Dean) and Robert David Burton (Teresa); his grandchildren, Bridget Cox (Paul), Brittany Cross (Shawn), Riley Burton (Kaitlyn) and Christine DelaCruz; his great grandchildren, Chanler McCreary, Caden McCreary of Lauro DelaCruz, J. R. Cross and Aba Pittman; and his sisters-in-law, Becky Burton, Geraldine Burton and Lucy Beaver.
