He was predeceased by: his wife Cordia Sutton; his son Johnny Sutton; his parents, Solomon Sutton and Dovie Miller Sutton; and his siblings, Roy Sutton, Leamon Sutton, Henry Sutton, Elmer Sutton, Nancy Kable, Kathryn Sutton, Azilee Ford, Ethel Rettberg and Lucille Sutton.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Sutton (Peggy) of Knoxville, Mark Sutton of LaFollette and Amy Sutton Martin of Caryville; and his sister Pearl Goins. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and several friends and other family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin Wilson Funeral Home (305 E Beech St, LaFollette, TN 37766). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sutton Cemetery.
