He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Fowler Summers; his parents, Rev. Audrey Summers and Edna Rose Smith Summers; and his siblings, Charles Ernest Summers, Billy Lee Summers, Jay Summers and Wilma Sharp.

He is survived by: his sisters, Maurine Bennett and Edith McCoy. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
