He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Minton and Nettie Minton (LeMarr); and his siblings, Bobby Minton, J. T. Minton, C. B. Minton, Junior Minton and Faye Minton Brooks.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Lavania Murray; his children, David Minton (Becky) of LaFollette, Amy Sexton (James) of LaFollette and Debbie Nolan of Oak Ridge; his siblings, Joe Minton and Mildred Minton Williamson; his grandchildren, Hayley Smith, Austin Phillips, Victoria Ridenour, Whitney Minton, Kimber Minton and Kayla Castros; and his great grandchildren, Cora Henderson, Kane Henderson and Octavia Stagnolia. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Valley Cemetery (206 Henson Rd, LaFollette, TN 37766). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
