He was predeceased by: his parents, Cortez Russell and Vera Evetts Russell; and his brother Gary Russell. He is survived by: his wife Emily Cummings Russell; and his children, McKenzie Russell, Rhana Russell Hale of Gallatin and Bill Russell, Jr. (Kim) of Castalian Springs.
