He was predeceased by: his parents, Clelon Russell and Jessie Potette Russell; his daughter Tracy Bonee'; his grandson Joshua Bonee'; and his brothers, Kenneth, Glen, Joe, Johnny and Ben Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna Barton Russell of Lafayette; his daughter Tammy Albertson (John); his grandchildren, Megan Barbuto (Jon) of Murfreesboro, Caleb Bonee' of Nashville, Madison Albertson of Washington, DC and Jack Albertson of Murfreesboro; his siblings, Lane Spivey of Cookeville and Wade Russell; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Russell of Barberton and Pauline Russell of Clearwater, FL; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Lucy and Lillian Barbuto.
