He was predeceased by: his parent Avanah Thompson Fields; his brother Mitchell Fields; his close friend Christine Donoho; and his stepdaughters, Juanita Dunham and Detta Clark.
He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Fields of Portland, Rose Brown (Carl) of Carthage, Carolyn Spivey of Livingston, Marilyn Hall of White House and Mike Fields (Mary) of Hartsville; and his stepdaughter Jackie Meador (Ricky) of Lafayette. He is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren & 7 step great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews.
