He was predeceased by: his children, Linda Barber, Sue Boyd and W. C. Bryant; his parents, Earl Barber and Bide Jones Barber; and his siblings, Hillous Barber, Jack Barber, Alfred Barber and Annice Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Melba Sue Hughes Barber; his children, Jeff Hughes (Debbie) and Glenda Gross (Chris); his grandchildren, Hannah Langford (Andrew), Emily Brawner (Dawson), Abby Oyster, Dylan Gross (Kenzie) and Stephen Boyd; his great grandchild Hudson Gross; and his sister Bonnie Huffines A. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
Family suggests donations be made to Drury Cemetery or Cedar Bluff Missionary Baptist Church.
