He is survived by: his wife Diana Blankenship Carter; his sons, Anthony Carter (Stacy), Tim Carter (Wendy), Derrick Carter (Heather) and Brandon Carter (Ashley); his brothers, Joe Carter (Cynthia) and Jimmy Carter (Anna); his siblings-in-law, Donald Law (Mike Blankenship), Pat Sutton and Pam Whitley; his grandchildren, Chase Carter (Brandi), Aaron Wayne Carter, Chelsea Jones (Mason), Ashlyn Carlisle (Tyler), Camden James Carter, Chance Cole Carter, Abbey Jean Carter, Cara Faith Carter, Breanna Faye Carter and Clark Silas Carter; and his great grandchildren, Maysea Shea Jones, Noah Wilson Carter and Maylee Carter Jones.
