She was predeceased by: her husband James Carson McCarter; her children, Jimmie Dudney McCarter, Pamela Kay McCarter, Mary Ruth Spivey and LaDora Jean Carter; her parents, Parlie Davis and Matilda Susan Browning Davis; her grandsons, Howard Christopher McCarter, Eric Glen LaFevers and Donnie Ray Marsh; her siblings, Odell Davis, Mizell Davis (Shelba Davis), Leslie Coell Davis, Estelle Russell, Lorene Shoulders (Cornell Clark), Elise Deckard and Beatrice Ritter; and her sons-in-law, Ralph Cassetty and Jerry Morgan.
She is survived by: her children, Howard McCarter (Carol), Mark McCarter (Betty), Patricia Cassetty, Sharon Morgan, Shelta Shrum (Gary) and Renita Marsh; her children-in-law, Jimmy Spivey, Tommy Carter and Janice McCarter; and her grandchildren, Kelly McCarter, Blake Spivey, Corey Spivey, Seth Marsh, Jamie McCarter, Joshua McCarter, Matthew Morgan, Zackary Marsh, Natasha Roberts, Stephanie Lamb, Laura Kendall and Cecilia Cash. She is also survived by Seventeen Great-Grandchildren, Two Great-Great-Grandchildren, and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
