He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Clay and Susan Vance Cothron; his children, Deborah Faye Cothron and Michael Ragland; and his siblings, Ruth Sloan, Fred, Howard, Carl and Harold Gene Cothron.
He is survived by: his wife Maurine Perrigo Ragland Cothron of Lafayette; his sons, Troy Cothron (Alicia) of Lafayette and Kevin Ragland (Tabby) of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Ava Bomar (Andrew), Eli Ragland, Nolan Ragland and Latisha Shultz; and his great grandchildren, Zaine Shultz and Tobias Shultz.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home & Memorial Park - Lafayette (997 Hwy 52 E, Lafayette, TN 37083). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Eulia Cemetery.
