She was predeceased by: her husband Roy L. Carter; her parents, James Ottis Caruthers and Ruby Cox; and her sister Willie Ruth Brockette. She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Sue Hersey of Lafayette, Carolyn Shoemake of Lafayette, Mary Lou Jones of Indianapolis, IN and Charles "Ott" Caruthers (Julie) of Lafayette, C. G; her daughter Amanda Russell (Greg); her grandchildren, Ellie, Norah, Lucas and Zach Caruthers; her sisters-in-law, Agnes Bush and Betty Carver (Charles) of Nashville; and also Marleigh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
