He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Hale and Edith McGuffee Hale; and his brother Bobby. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Hale of Lafayette; his children, Lisa Perrigo of Bowling Green, KY and Sam; his daughter-in-law Kim Hale of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Evan (Connar Perrigo), Luke Perrigo, Elijah, Noah and Olivia Hale; his sisters, Christine (Melvin Pedigo) and June Sullivan; and his sister-in-law Ruth Hale.

Family request memorials be made to the Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church.
