He was predeceased by: his parents, William Padgett and Georgia Padgett; and his brother David Padgett. He is survived by: his wife Lyla French-Padgett; his sister Patricia Padgett Smith; his aunt Virginia Neal Thigpen; and his uncle Timothy Neal. He is also survived by four nieces and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
