It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Louis Ownby Jr. (Kodak, Tennessee), who passed away on September 12, 2018, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harvey Lee, Leah Ownby, Sophie Lowe Carr and Clifford "Bud" Moore; and his cousin Russell Ownby.
He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Dale; his stepfather Wendell; his father Joe Louis Sr.; his stepmother Peggy Ownby; his brother Scott Ownby; his sister-in-law Violet Ownby; and also, Melissa Gates, Ralph Gates, Kimberly Messer and Mike Messer. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family.
