He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Franklin; his children, Anna Franklin and Danny Gerard III; his parents, Carl Franklin and Jean Franklin; his siblings, Daniel Franklin and Jennifer Elrod; and his grandsons, Isaiah and Harper Gerard.
