He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Maria Whaley; his parents, Andrew Whaley and Grace Whaley; and his siblings, Walter, Harold, DeeDee, Garland, Paul, Jim, Wayman, Aaron Whaley, Polly Young, Gail Sue Whaley, Mildred Stratton and Sharon Carver.

He is survived by: his children, Andy, Morgan and Wendy Whaley; and his siblings, Martin Whaley (Juanita), JoAnn Hudgins and Roma McKee (Allen). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
