She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Melko and Mary Elizabeth Melko (Masler); and her sister Mary Ann Prince. She is survived by: her husband Case Hicks; her sons, John (Danielle Atkinson) of Texas and Austin (Stephanie Atkinson) of Colorado; her grandchildren, Alissa, Alec, Elena, Sophia and Ryan; and her brother-in-law Steve Prince of Maine.
