He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Thompson and Jean Thompson Whittaker (Simmie); and his sister Karen Fairchild. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Thompson; his sister Anne Cox (Larry) of Sherman, TX; his brother-in-law Rick Mullenix (Marty) of Blountville, TN; and his nephew Marcus Mullenix. He is also survived by several nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rose Mann Heritage Chapel (6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel FWB Church (3711 Beech Creek Rd, Rogersville, TN 37857).
