He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Sands and Bonnie Sands. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Kimberly Sands Lund (Brad) and Richard Gary Sands Jr.; his grandchildren, Brooke Sands Maples (Brad), Emma Lund, Annaclaire Lund, Izabel Sands and Rowan Sands; his great grandchild Lilly Maples; and his sisters, Roma Gibson and Carol Koslow. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
