He was predeceased by: his wife Eva Lynn Hammons; his parents, Andrew Clay "AC" Barnett and Wavi Williams Barnett; his siblings, Kay Setleff (Douglas), Tina Fowler, John Daniel "Johnny" Barnett (Penny) and Phillip David "Phil" Barnett; and his daughter Cheryl Lynn Barnett.
He is survived by: his son Orvan Andrew "Andy" (Jodie Bull-Barnett); his grandchildren, Kirsten Halli of Knoxville and Ethan Andrew Barnett of Knoxville; and his siblings, George Barnett (Rebecca) of Victoria, TX, Sue Cogar (Gail) of Blair, WV, Jennifer Carpenter (Gary) of Clover, SC and JD.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Bearden Ward. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Tn State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
