She was predeceased by : her parents, Rozella Richey and JB Richey; her sister Elizabeth Richey Dennis; and her daughter-in-law Dana Cox. She is survived by : her husband John R. Cox, Sr.; her children, Gail Nipper (Johnny), Crystal Keys (John), John Cox, Jr. and Carrie Reed (Jacob); her grandchildren, Amber Williams (Martin), John Nipper, Jr., Carson, Conner and Ava Reed; her great grandchildren, Zaxon, Lillyonna and Kaison Williams; her siblings, Earl Richey (Julie) and Brenda Chandler; and her close friends, Joyce Fritts and Judy Scarbrough. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the KIM Watt Baptist Church (1904 Kim Watt Dr, Knoxville, TN 37909). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Berry Highland West Cemetery (9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932).
