With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nila Jeanette Brown (Knoxville, Tennessee), born in Clintwood, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Napolean Boneparte Rasnick and Eddie Ethel Rasnick; and her siblings, Howard Rasnick, Tilden Rasnick, Byron Rasnick, Margie Anderson, Ida Bell Rasnick, Essie Stallard, Mozelle Steffey and Theda Riemann.
She is survived by: her husband Doug Brown; her daughters, Akene Settlemeyer (Kent Settlemeyer), Nelle Daniel (Tom Daniel) and Vileta Doane (Rick Doane); and her brothers, Giles Rasnick and Franklin Rasnick. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
