She was predeceased by: her husband Leon Brooks; her daughter Lynda Crippen; and her parents, Oscar Bates and Mae Bates. She is survived by: her daughter Carol Davis (Jimmy) of Mount Juliet, TN; her son-in-law Marshall Crippen of Knoxville, TN; her grandsons, David Davis (Buffey) of Lebanon, TN, Joel Crippen (Becky) of Knoxville, TN and Kevin Davis (Julia) of Morristown, TN; her great grandchildren, Kenzie, Kassidy, Kiley Davis of Lebanon, TN, Kristin Davis of Talbot, TN, Austin, Hampton and Hudson Davis of Morristown, TN; and her stepgrandsons, Alex Greene and Gavin Greene (Naomi).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (7535 Maynardville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
