He was predeceased by: his wife Jewel Welch Davis; his parents, James Holbert Davis and Lillie-Mae Davis; and his siblings, Woodrow Davis, James Davis, Helen Farmer, Mildred Farmer, Charlotte Price and Caroline Davis.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark Davis (Korita), Lance Davis and Brad Davis; his granddaughter Ashley Hill (Eric); his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Austin Hill; his sisters, Dorothy Goss and Edna Alford; and his brother-in-law James Sentell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
