He was predeceased by: his son Gabriel Ruiz; his brother Humberto Ruiz; his daughter Marie Doak; his parents, Paula Ruiz and Marcelino Ruiz; and his niece Luz Feliciano.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Ruiz; his children, Jennie Ruiz Tiberio, Brent Busby, Lorrie Ruiz, Jeffry Doak, O. K. Doak and Jodi Doak; his grandchildren, Gabriella Tiberio, Talia Ann Tiberio, Orion Doak, Allaina Doak, Lauren Doak, Tabitha Doak and Roman Doak; and his siblings, Juan Bermudez and Elodia Perez.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home (220 W Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37801). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the East Tennessee Veteran Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
