It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Gillespie Cook of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Louise Gillespie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Louise Gillespie's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marshal Gillespie and Mabel Louise Gibson Gillespie; her sister Wilma Gillespie Cotter; and her nephew Mike Cotter. She is survived by: her husband Lowell Cook; her son Steve; her daughter-in-law Susan Cook; her grandson Andrew Cook; and her siblings-in-law, Arnold Cotter, Fred and Glenda Pickens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home (3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
