He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Hawkins and Hassie Hawkins; his sister Georgia Ensor; and his son-in-law Bill Mehlhorn. He is survived by: his wife Betty C. Hawkins; his children, Robin Nicely (John), Kimberly A. Mehlhorn and William W. Hawkins (Candy); his grandchildren, Justin Hawkins and Jarrod Hawkins; and his sister Joyce Felknor.
