He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Elizabeth Day Poe and Dudley Lee Poe; his wife Nancy Creighton Poe; and his niece Hannah Purvis. He is survived by: his pet Barry; his grandson Little League; his pet Ori; his daughter Virginia Ancillotti; his son-in-law Alan; his grandchildren, Inman Christopher, Solomon Christopher, Leo Ancillotti and Neelia Ancillotti; his sister-in-law Donna Purvis (James Butler); his niece Sarah Petersen (Scott); and his nephew Patrick Purvis.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Lebanon Chapel (814 Airlie Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Good Shepherd Center or Lower Cape Fear Life Care.
