He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McCoy and Louise Richards McCoy; and his siblings, Carolyn McCoy Widner and Gerald McCoy. He is survived by: his brother Dicky McCoy (Ann); his significant other Linda Cunningham McCoy; his children, Johnny McCoy Jr. and Kimberly McCoy Clark (Don); his grandchildren, Clay McCoy (Colleen), Rayma McCoy McGehee (Gregor), Jordan McCoy (Lindsey), Rachel McCoy, Gabriel McCoy and Shelby Clark Whaley (Dylan); his great grandchildren, Ezekiel and Tipton McCoy; and his grandchildren, Peyton, Mia McGehee, Dakota, Weston, Silas McCoy, Harper McCoy, Roslyn and Maeve Whaley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Curtis Hutson Chapel at Temple Baptist Church (1700 W Beaver Creek Dr, Powell, TN 37849). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918).
