He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. A. D. Simmons and Macel Simmons; and his wife Goldie Ann. He is survived by: his siblings, David Simmons (Brenda), Sylvia Babelay (Steve) and Rada Rolison (John); his stepdaughters, Jackie Rader and Karen Bates (Mike); and his close friends, Doc Robinson, Rodney Satterfield, Tom Fielden, Marcus Shirley, Beth Donahue and Dr. Robert Montgomery. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
