He was predeceased by: his parents, Lum Lewis and Abbey Lewis; his former wife Beatrice Hill Lewis of Chattanooga, TN; his wife Inez Kirby Bean Lewis; his siblings, Nettie Susong (Ralph), Lewis (Evelyn), Odee Buchanan (Howard), Bonnie Lewis, R. T. Lewis (Hazel), Dimple Anderson (Harold) and Victoria Harrison (Clark); his grandchildren, John and Beth Gray; and his son-in-law Dwight Green of Bell Buckle, TN..
He is survived by: his children, Connie Green of Bell Buckle, TN, Rick Lewis (Marilyn) of Louisville, KY and Joni Irvin (Bob) of Mountain View, MO; and his grandchildren, Anne Belfield (Rob), Kathy Parker, Justin Lewis (Meagan), Emily Allen (Chad), Matthew Irvin (Laura), James Irvin (Katy), Jacob Irvin (Lindsey) and Rachel White (Daniel). He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel (11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Memorial Cemetery (5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919).
