She was predeceased by: her grandmother McCroskey; her parents, Mel Koontz and Josie Lee Koontz; her daughter Elaine McCroskey Davis; her brothers, Kenneth and Gary Koontz; and her granddaughter Natalie Nichols.
She is survived by: her children, Mike McCroskey (Dee), Sherry Nichols and Melissa Byrd; her grandchildren, Timothy, Jessica, Deanna, Cody, Zachary, Jacob and Ben; and her close friend Sharon Ingram. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Pollard Cemetery.
