He is survived by: his wife Anna Ruth Lindsey; his son James Eugene; his daughter-in-law Mayoli Lindsey of Knoxville, TN; his daughter Karen Renee; his son-in-law Phillip Webb of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Sarah Avila, Allen Lindsey and Jasmine Lindsey; his great grandchildren, Ariston Xander Sharp of Knoxville, TN and Aria Sonnette Avila of Knoxville, TN; and his siblings, Mildred Smith of Knoxville, TN, Blanche Hutchison of Machesney Park, IL, Hellen Sellers of Corryton, TN, John Lindsey of Hermitage, TN and Carolyn Josey of Knoxville, TN..
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Buffat Heights Baptist Church (2800 Mill Rd, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Berry Highland South Cemetery (9010 Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920).
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Buffat Heights Baptist Church.
