With solemn reverence, we commemorate James Doug Brown (Knoxville, Tennessee), whose life came to an end on February 5, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Nila Brown; his parents, James Brown and Lucille Brown; and his sister Claire Hayes. He is survived by: his daughters, Akene Settlemeyer (Kent), Nelle Daniel (Tom) and Vileta Doane (Rick); and his grandchildren, Kyrie Taylor (Jason), Kent Settlemeyer (Porscha), Kaley Stouffer (Chad), Cody Buckner, Alex Daniel, Aaron Daniel, Natasha Daniel (Johnny), Austin Daniel, Alaina Daniel and Victoria Weir. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and loving friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
The family is asking that instead of flowers that memorial gifts may be given to Oak Grove UMC (PO Box 672, Decatur, TN 37322), a church very dear to Doug's heart.
